Summary: It was really only two years but when he found her, standing at the door, hiding behind a man who protected her, he felt his heart break. She really had moved on but he’d spend the rest of his life making up how he had treated her ever since he found out she was the evil queen.
Notes: This was an idea I’ve been playing around with for MONTHS. Like I’m not kidding. I saw a gifset using Windfall scenes and then ones of Emma and Henry showing supposedly up on Regina’s doorstep. From then I got the idea for this fic. Read to find out what happens. :)

Timing is everything. Gwen Vaughn knows this more than anyone else. After being sick with the flu when she was supposed to have a blind date she let her sister, Victoria, go on it for her. As per usual, Victoria got what Gwen wanted, needed, even if she didn’t know it at the time.
Fifteen years later, a cooking dream down the pipes and Gwen out of a job, she comes crawling to her older sister—now married to the man she was supposed to go out with—for a job as the housekeeper, finding herself in love with Mister Blind Date.

It was kind of this weird combo of something I just needed to write and a serious twist on the Cinderella story. So yeah, this story has been brewing for almost four years, I needed to be wrote, and so here I am.
